According to the music industry on the 5th, Lee Yong-gyu died on the afternoon of the 3rd. It is known that the deceased had been fighting cancer, and the vacancy was arranged at the funeral hall of Asan Hospital in Seoul.
Coreana is the protagonist of the theme song’Hand in Hand’ composed by Giorgio Moroder, a world-renowned album producer from Italy. This song enjoyed worldwide popularity, including at the top of the European charts at the time.
It is evaluated as a group that raised Korea’s status with the 1980s Olympics by promoting activities in Europe and the Americas.
Coreana is a family group composed of brothers and sisters Seung-gyu Lee, Yong-gyu Lee, Ae-sook Lee, and Hwa-Hwa, cousin brother-in-law.
It was created by combining members of’Cash & Coins’ such as’Arirang Singers’, who were active mainly in Switzerland and Hong Hwa-ja, and Lee Ae-suk, Lee Seung-gyu, and Lee Yong-gyu, who were active in Europe including Germany.
Prior to this, the deceased worked with his brother Seung-gyu Lee in’Jeon Seung-nam and 6 Siblings’, who performed tap dance on the stage of the 8th Army.
Coreana also released a song called’Victory 2010′ in 2010 as a joint project with rapper and producer PD Cho.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s daughter married Lee Seon-ho, the eldest son of CJ Group chairman Lee Jae-hyun, in 2016, but died at home in the US the same year.
