The Korean fighter (KF-X) is expected to be unveiled for the first time around the end of April after finishing assembly.
According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) on the 22nd, the KF-X prototype 1, which began assembling in September last year, has undergone final assembly.
KF-X Unit 1 is scheduled to be unveiled for the first time through a public event (rollout) at the end of April. Initially, the first release was scheduled to take place around May, but the schedule was slightly advanced.
KF-X Unit 1, which has been assembled, is expected to be developed by 2026 after passing ground tests and full-fledged flight tests for the next five years.
Defense Minister Seo-wook and Kang Eun-ho, Director of the Defense Agency, met to discuss related to KF-X on the 17th, but it is known that no separate decision was made.
Meanwhile, one media reported on the day that’the government is considering a plan to independently promote the KF-X project, excluding Indonesia’, but the Bangsaeng Office expressed regret, saying, “It is different from the facts.”
In addition, the media reported that KF-X will be’releasing the first photos’ that went into final assembly, and the Bangsaeng Office said, “The report that (public photos) were released for the first time under the control of the Agency is different from the fact.” Revealed.
At the same time, he added, “We plan to respond strongly to the report on the misunderstanding and distortion, including referral to the media arbitration committee.”
