[파이낸셜뉴스] Korean Air disassembled the first retired aircraft in Korea to create a name tag.
Korean Air announced on the 17th that it sold the name tag made by disassembling the B777 (HL7530) aircraft, which was suspended in 2019, for mileage. Nametags, which were produced in limited editions of 4000, were sold out immediately after the start of sales due to a surge in orders.
The name tag is made on the surface of the logo of the aircraft and has a unique number engraved on it. Depending on the location of the logo, the color or shape may be different.
The logo has been cut and produced so that the color of the surface is different for each name tag, and scratches and stains are preserved as much as possible to bring out the original feel of the material.
Korean Air also released a YouTube video of the process of disassembling the aircraft and making it a name tag.
Introduced in March 1997, the HL7530 flew a total of 16903 times and 100,000,682 hours over 23 years. On December 18, 2019, the Hong Kong-Incheon route was last terminated, but it was disassembled in April of last year.
Korean Air initially promoted the sale, but decided to disassemble as the sale became difficult as the aviation industry suffered a recession in the aftermath of Corona 19.
