The Ministry of Defense of Korea and the United States will hold the 5th Korea-US Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Forum in Seoul for three days from the 13th to the 15th.
At this forum, Kwang-woo Kim, head of the Ministry of Defense Planning and Coordination Office, from the Korean side, and Takai Teresa, Assistant Secretary of Defense, from the US side, will attend.
Through this forum, the two countries will discuss defense information policy and current status, interoperability cooperation plan, and information communication technology network development plan.
The Ministry of Defense said, “The two countries have signed an ICT Forum Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Korea and the US in February 2008 for exchange and cooperation in the informatization field, and are holding regular forums.” And they plan to discuss joint interests, such as the information and communication technology environment of the two countries and the status of technological innovation.”
