[투데이에너지 김병욱 기자] KOMIPO (President Hyeong-koo Park) announced that 2021 will be the year of a leap forward as a global ethical company and will promote a plan to strengthen ethics and compliance management in order to realize the CEO’s unwavering commitment to ESG (environmental, social, and ethical) management.
KOMIPO is making every effort to reinforce its internal control system to prevent conflicts of interest before legislation in order to prevent the occurrence of illegal cases of some public officials and employees of public institutions, which have recently caused great disappointment to the public.
KOMIPO’s unique’KOMIPO Family Ethics System’ will be established to block the growth of employees’ inappropriate property at the source, and the surveillance system that strongly controls violations will be further accelerated.
In addition, it is preparing to prevent the occurrence of conflicts of interest by requesting a pledge of integrity for all employees to prevent property growth using job information, and using transparent information disclosure on external websites and mobile anonymous reporting channels.
Following this, KOMIPO established ESG governance with CEO-centered ethics and compliance management, implemented the 2nd Chungnam Integrity Golden Bell to spread a culture of integrity to stakeholders, and implemented a specialized fair trade compliance program for Jungbu Power. We plan to spur the implementation of transparent and fair KOMIPO, such as operating the company.
Park Hyeong-gu, president of Jungbu Power Co., said, “Integrity management and ethical management are not an option, but a responsibility as a public institution and a promise to the public. We will establish ourselves as a leader in an integrity-free public institution, recognizing that integrity is competitiveness.”
