This innovation is a follow-up to the successful completion of the’Safety Management Innovation Plan’ promoted from 2018 to 2020.

The start of the’New Normal Gas Safety Innovation’ and all processes are conducted in accordance with the public’s eye level and fair and transparent procedures, and the result of the project was reflected in the public idea contest (223 cases received from October 23 to November 9, 2020). . The final task was decided through two evaluations by an advisory committee composed of a majority of external experts. In addition, it plans to hold an advisory committee every half year to check the performance.
The Korea Gas Safety Corporation has developed and distributed the’Fusecock Overflow Blocking Safety Mechanism’ to dramatically reduce human casualties to fundamentally prevent accidents inadequate blocking measures, promote the expansion of butane can safety devices, and prevent carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning accidents. We plan to further strengthen inspection and promotion. In addition, in order to eliminate the blind spot of safety management, a procedure for preventing accidents with careless work will be prepared and distributed, and the small storage tanks will be thoroughly managed for omission of re-inspection and inspection of containers.
In addition, in preparation for post-corona, we plan to expand non-face-to-face inspections such as smart inspection, video inspection, and non-face-to-face product certification review, and develop and distribute’real-time risk prediction technology based on the movement of gas and chemical facilities workers’ using smart technology. It will introduce a real-time risk prediction and artificial intelligence (AI) accident management system, and provide safety management education services using virtual reality (VR) contents.
