Kookmin Bank held ‘2021 KB Creative Works Contest’

Apply by the 16th of next month… Individual notification of winners on May 17th

KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 24th that it will hold the ‘2021 KB Creative Works Competition’ until the 16th of next month to discover novel and competent new fairy tale writers.

Eligibility for entry is open to all Korean citizens who are interested in creative fairy tales, except for ready-made writers. The recruitment section is an unpublished creative fairy tale targeting elementary school students with about 30 manuscripts.

How to apply is to fill out the application form listed in the KB Creativity Topics in the’Notice & News’ section of the Children’s and Future Foundation’s website, and submit it by mail along with the work.

The winners receive a certificate and a creative incentive for △Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (1 person) 5 million won △Excellence award (1 person) 3 million won △Excellence award (2 people) 1.5 million won each △Encouragement award (4 people) 1 million won each △Winner (10 people) ) A total of 20 million won, including 500,000 won each, will be awarded. The winners will be notified individually on May 17, and will be announced on the Children and Future Foundation website. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held through live online broadcasting in late May.

The work that wins the Encouragement Prize or higher is produced by Kookmin Bank’s creative fairy tale book’A Fairy Tale is My Friend’. The creative fairy tale book produced this year is planned to be distributed to small libraries, regional children’s centers, and multicultural families.
