Another fire broke out in Hyundai’s Kona EV (Electric). As a fire breaks out in a vehicle that has already been recalled, Hyundai Motor, a vehicle manufacturer, and LG Energy Solutions, a battery supplier, are also embarrassing.
According to the industry on the 25th, Hyundai Motor’s Kona EV vehicle fire broke out in Daegu on the 23rd, and the number of fires for the same vehicle increased to a total of 15 since its launch.
The fire accident occurred in a vehicle that was being charged at an electric vehicle charging station located in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. The vehicle is reported to have received a recall of the battery management system in December of last year.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to focus on quickly identifying the cause as fire accidents follow in a situation where no clear cause of fire has been found.
Hyundai Motor Company said, “We are trying to determine the cause of the fire with the relevant organizations. We will take appropriate measures as soon as the cause is identified.”
LG Energy Solutions side said, “It is still difficult to know the cause or reason of the fire.”
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company is known to announce its position in the joint investigation related to the Kona EV fire within two weeks, but it will take some time as the police investigation is underway.
