KOMIPO, ISO-based anti-corruption and human rights management system simultaneously certified

[에너지데일리 송병훈 기자] On the 5th, KOMIPO (President Hyeong-koo Park) announced on the 5th that it has achieved the feat of acquiring both the international standard’corruption prevention management system (ISO37001)’ and’human rights management system’ certification from the Korea Management Certification Institute (KMR) for the first time as a public energy company.

The anti-corruption management system (ISO37001) is a standard for anti-corruption management system established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which participates in 162 countries, and is the standard for identifying, controlling and managing corruption risks of an organization.

KOMIPO formed a TF from August last year to obtain ISO37001 certification, declared and trained the CEO’s strong anti-corruption policy, established anti-corruption management operation manuals and guidelines, established anti-corruption targets in connection with company-wide management strategies, and addressed corruption risks. Company-wide efforts have been made to introduce and settle ISO37001, such as identifying, evaluating and strengthening monitoring.

The human rights management system certification system establishes CEO management policies and goals to systematically manage human rights management, examines whether the requirements for implementation are met, and certifies them through employee interviews and on-site inspections.

In this regard, KOMIPO has introduced a human rights management system based on the human rights management manual established by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea in 2018 under the human rights management vision of’People’s Value as Top Priority!’ Is being inspected, and improvements are being made to areas that are insufficient.

KOMIPO has been selected as the best integrity institution in 2016-2017, 1st grade in 2016-2017, 2nd grade in 2018, 1st grade in 2019, and exemption from evaluation in 2020 by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
