In 2016, Southeast Power Corp. proclaimed a new vision of’Clean & Smart Energy Leader’ and changed its brand name to’KOEN (KOrea ENergy)’, a comprehensive energy company that prepares for the future by breaking away from the existing frame limited to the power generation industry. Change Energy: Prepare for a bold leap forward with KOEN-type New Deal.

In response to the new energy paradigm last year, KOEN established a mid- to long-term plan for KOEN-type New Deal. In particular, by 2025, it has set an extreme goal of investing 570 million won in total project costs and creating 4.9 million jobs, and is accelerating energy conversion by branding the New Deal task.

In particular, businesses such as Tamna Offshore Wind Power, the first 30MW offshore wind farm in Korea, Gunsan floating photovoltaic power, which started the Saemangeum renewable energy industry, and farming solar power that shares sunlight with farmers, are It has established itself as a representative renewable energy brand management case.

Change with the People: Creating Social Value by Promoting People’s Experience-type Tasks

As a public energy company, KOEN is striving to create social value in connection with the energy industry. Last year, a business model that solves social challenges in the environment and jobs area by providing innovative solutions through resource recycling attracted attention.

In particular, through KOEN’s’Resource Recycling Collaborative Platform for Creating Jobs for the Vulnerable’ project, the amount of coffee meal and coal ash resource recycling increased by 3.26 times compared to the previous year, resulting in the creation of 89 jobs for the vulnerable. In addition, it is actively carrying out public sensational projects such as the production of eco-friendly fertilizers (bio tea) that recycles wood pellet combustion ash.
