Intra Games announced that the Korean version of King’s Bounty 2 will be officially released on August 24th on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
King’s Bounty 2 is the official numbering sequel to be released about 31 years after the original work (Korean name’King’s Gift’) released by New World Computing in 1990. Considering that 1C Company, which acquired the copyright of King’s Bounty in 2007, has been releasing extravagant series such as’Kings Bounty: The Legend’ so far, it is also a sequel to King’s Bounty: Dark Side in 5 years.
The previous work’King’s Gift’ shared some of the worldview of Heroes of Might and Magic (HOMM), which is famous for RPG fans, and was highly praised at the time as an element of exploring the world while gathering colleagues to defeat enemies. In King’s Bounty 2, players are on a journey to save a continent in crisis. By borrowing a deep RPG system and a non-linear narrative, careful decisions are required every moment, and it is possible to experience a wider worldview through the three main characters from different origins and backgrounds.
The battle is conducted in a hexagonal tile-based turn system, and the surrounding environment, such as terrain elevation differences and obstacles, affects the battle a lot. In addition, by adding more depth to the character development system, you will face various results depending on the unique story and choice of each character.
