Kim Yong-hoon (male, 52), former head of the information security department of SK Infosec, was appointed as the head of the information security department of the National Health Insurance Corporation (level 2), which is an open position.

The Ministry of Human Resources Development and the National Health Insurance Service announced on the 31st that they would appoint former Information Security Officer Kim Yong-hoon as the head of the Information Security Department as the government’s private recruitment method.

This is the second case in the industrial complex that was discovered by the government’s support for recruiting civilian talent after the head of the big data center in May.

The government’s support for recruiting civilian talent is a customized talent discovery service that is directly investigated and recommended by the HR department at the request of each ministry and agency in order to strengthen public service competitiveness.

Director Kim Yong-hoon is said to be an expert in security policy, strategy, audit, security management system, personal information protection, security control, and R&D-related technologies as a general manager and chief information security officer for an information security company for about 22 years.

SK Infosec R&D Center supervised the development of new security technologies, carried out research and development tasks such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and cloud, and contributed to the development of security systems.

The head of the Information Security Department of the Health Insurance Corporation is in charge of the Information Security Department, which performs tasks such as planning and establishing policies for information security, operating and managing information protection systems, preventing and responding to security infringement accidents, and protecting information and communication infrastructure.

Director Kim Yong-hoon expressed his ambition, “We will strengthen our security risk management capabilities by applying our experience and expertise that have successfully established security management and response systems through communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.” .
