The identity of the suspect who brutally murdered three mothers and daughters in an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul was revealed.

On the 5th, the Seoul Police Agency decided to disclose personal information to Kim at the Deliberation Committee on the Disclosure of Personal Information. Personal information such as Kim Tae-hyun, a 24-year-old male, was released on the same day.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said, “The crime was carefully planned, such as preparing the necessary goods in advance, and it resulted in a serious result of killing all three victims in succession.” It was decided to disclose the suspect’s personal information, considering that it was a matter of intensive public interest such as the petition being received,” he explained.

Earlier, on the 23rd of last month, Kim is accused of stabbing and killing three mothers and daughters with a weapon in an apartment in Nowon-gu. There were media reports that he stayed in the victim’s residence for three days after committing the crime, ate and drank beer from the house.

It is known that Mr. Kim requested to meet with Mr. A, who he learned through online games. However, when Mr. A refused and did not receive contact, it was reported that he committed the crime with resentment. The investigation revealed that he had visited the victim’s home address to meet the victim even before the crime.

It is known that he pretended to be a courier before the crime, entered the victim’s house, and murdered Mr. A’s younger sister with a weapon, followed by the murder of his mother and Mr. A who returned home.

Kim’s brutal crime was known to the public, and it earned public resentment. In particular, as it was reported that Kim stalked Mr. A for several months before committing the crime, voices of criticism increased, centering on women.

On the Blue House national petition bulletin board, a petition urging Kim to disclose his personal information began on the 29th of last month, and as of 4:55 pm on the day, 253,408 people agreed to meet the response criteria (200,000).

Petitioner said, “Women who are dying dozens of people a day are exposed to many crimes because they are relatively weak, such as’don’t meet me’,’just (don’t ask)’,’because they’re weak’, etc.” It comes up more and more, but the world seems to be quiet for some reason.”

“In this case, the perpetrator attempted self-harm and is being treated, so it has not yet been fully revealed, but it is a sure fact that three family members have been killed,” he stressed, “I hope to reveal the identity of the perpetrator as soon as possible.”

Since then, the petition has spread rapidly in online communities where many women visit. In addition, it became a hot topic as celebrities and others repeatedly post requests to join the petition.
