Ahn Cheol-soo, the head of the National Assembly Party, reiterated the importance of winning the conservative opposition in the Seoul Mayor’s by-election on April 7th.

CEO Ahn said, “I was confident that Kim Jong-in would be unified as a candidate for the Suicide Party, after examining the youth’s residential environment in Gwanak-gu, Seoul. “I think it’s not important that the conservative opposition wins,” he said.

Chairman Kim appeared in the KBS late-night debate the day before and said, “The unification of the opposition candidates will surely come true.”

Representatives Ahn and former Democratic Party lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, who agreed to unify the third zone, selected persons to enter into working-level negotiations. Working-level staff will hold a meeting on the afternoon of this afternoon to discuss the rules of unification, and the first issue is expected to be whether or not to hold the’Pre-New Year debate’ claimed by the Monetary Council.

Representative Ahn said, “I will follow the details (related to the holding of the debate before the Lunar New Year) as agreed in the negotiations,” and said, “There is nothing separately requested (to the working-level of the National Assembly Party). If they agree smoothly, I will follow it.” .

He added, “I will inform the people and citizens of my policies through policy announcements, as soon as the discussion is held and after the discussion.”

Regarding the agreement between the preliminary candidates for the Democratic Party and the preliminary candidates for the Open Democratic Party on the premise of consolidation of the two parties, he said, “I am not interested in talking about that by parties who are not eligible for candidates.”
