Open Democratic Party Seoul Mayor Kim Jin-ae and Democratic Party Seoul Mayor Candidate Park Young-seon and Democratic Party Mayor Candidate finally agreed on the 9th. It is a plan to announce the results on March 17, the day before the candidate registration date, after two debates and votes by electoral and rights party members.
Along with the Open Democratic Party, the Democratic Party has played a long tug of war over the unification method. There was no disagreement that both parties had to join forces to win the by-election on April 7, but candidate Kim Jin-ae argued that they had to undergo sufficient verification, including three debates, while candidate Park Young-seon had expressed a controversy saying that the time was not enough.
On the 8th, when disagreements were hardly narrowed, Chairman Chung Bong-ju, the chairman of the Democratic Party’s election countermeasures, accused the Democratic Party of “disappearing comrades as a group begging for unification.” Candidate Jin-ae Kim also said, “This election is quite tight, you know,” he said. “I think that all of our democratic camps have a sense of crisis that if you go safely, you can safely lose.”
In the end, Candidate Young-seon Park said, “Please respect candidate Kim Jin-ae and promote unification.” On the same day, he told Facebook, “Only if the democratic reform forces must win as a single opponent, we can overcome the corona and create a new 100 years in Seoul.” So I asked the party to promote unification.”
The Open Democratic Party has also stepped back. On the 9th, an official from the Democratic Party <오마이뉴스>“We agreed on a unification method for the victory of the democratic progressive camp,” he said. “After two debates between the candidates, the votes of the Seoul citizens electoral team and the rights party will be summed up and the results will be announced on the evening of the 17th.” Revealed.
More details will be revealed at the press conference at the National Assembly Communication Center at 3 pm on the same day. Candidate Jin-ae Kim and Candidate Young-sun Park will both attend this event.
