Former KBS announcer Kim Ji-won announced the legal action.
On the 31st, Kim Ji-won released a complaint in relation to defamation on Instagram, saying, “I just wrote an article with unconfirmed information about me in an Internet media and want to reveal the facts about him.”
Kim Ji-won emphasized, “I haven’t posted advertisements on YouTube before leaving the company or did any for-profit activities with any sponsorship. This is a fact that the company also conducted its own investigation and has clearly confirmed.”
“Because the issue is more than a year old, the facts of the article are different from the title of’Quality’ resignation,” he said. He refuted.
Earlier, in January of last year, a media reported that there was suspicion that he had been engaged in commercial activities by posting advertisements inducing cash payments on the YouTube channel operated by an incumbent KBS announcer and exposing the brand. This is why Kim Ji-won clarified his intention to take legal action.
Kim Ji-won said, “It has been so, and I will consistently cope with civil and criminal legal actions against any false facts related to this matter.” .
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-won joined the KBS announcer in 2012 and has been active in’Challenge Golden Bell’ and’KBS News 9′. Kim Ji-won, who recently resigned, received support for her ambition to go to Oriental Medicine University.

I just wanted to reveal facts about me by writing an article in an internet medium with unconfirmed information about me. Before I left, I didn’t post advertisements on YouTube or did any commercial activities with any sponsorship. This is clearly confirmed by the company itself as well. Usually, when a KBS announcer is disciplined for an objectionable behavior, it is written in an article so that everyone can know the content, but as you can see, you will not be able to confirm anything.
Since the issue is a case of more than a year, the facts of the article were incorrect from the title of ‘Quality’ resignation. The average person introduces only one product in a video for advertising. There were so many inquiries that I introduced all the everyday items that I asked for at once, and when I saw the article as an advertisement, I was able to feel how outside of the online world the person trying to put this framing on.
In addition, I have never advertised a link to consult with a plastic surgery clinic, and I have never uploaded a certification shot taken at an oriental clinic.
We don’t want articles that are provoked to be taken as facts. The notice that I mentioned myself at the time of 2019 was also proudly disclosed because the company was notified to pay attention to what I did in good faith, as in this case, because it could be food for the article.
This has always been the case, and in the future, I intend to consistently cope with civil and criminal legal actions against any false information related to this matter. We will respond clearly one by one to all bad comments and articles based on inaccurate facts.
