Doosan Bears announced on the 8th that they had signed an FA contract with infielder Kim Jae-ho (36). The terms of the contract are 2.5 billion won, including a down payment of 900 million won and an annual salary of 1.6 billion won for three years.
After signing, Kim Jae-ho expressed his feelings, saying, “I am happy to have the second free agency contract with Doosan. I will lead my juniors well. I will do my best to play with the heart of a rookie until the day I remove my uniform.”
Kim Jae-ho, who received the first nomination by Doosan in 2004, is a representative’One Clubman’.
Last year, he played 120 games as the main shortstop and hit a batting average of 0.289, 116 hits, 2 homers and 39 RBIs.
He batted 0.278, 1035 hits, 48 homers and 515 RBIs in 1454 professional games.
Before the 2017 season, he obtained his first free agency qualification and stamped a total of 5 billion won in four years with Doosan. After that, Kim Jae-ho, who continued to play a role, successfully renewed the contract with Doosan again.
Meanwhile, Doosan successfully renewed the contract with 3 out of 7 free agent qualifications after the 2020 season.
Earlier, he captured Gyeong-min Heo (up to 8.5 billion won in 4+3 years) and Sue Bin (up to 5.6 billion won in 6 years), and ended a renewal with Kim Jae-ho, the spiritual proprietor of the team.
Choi Joo-hwan (SK, 4 years, 4.2 billion won) and Oh Jae-il (Samsung, 4 years 5 billion won) have changed their uniforms, while Lee Yong-chan and Yu Hee-gwan are still in the market.
Doosan plans to proceed with contracts with the remaining free agents, Lee Yong-chan and Yoo Hee-gwan.
