Attorney Park Ji-hoon, the legal representative of those who claimed to have been raped by Ki Sung-yong (FC Seoul) in elementary school, suggested that the truth be covered in court instead of exhausting public opinion. He asked Ki Sung-yong to file a civil and criminal lawsuit against the victims.

Recently, Sung-Yong Ki is at the center of controversy with the disclosure that he committed sexual violence to his juniors when he was in elementary school. As the wave increased, Ki Sung-yong personally invited a press conference and confronted him saying, “It’s totally irrelevant. I will take legal action without mercy in the future.”
After Ki Sung-yong’s press conference, attorney Park Ji-hoon, who said, “We will present the evidence as soon as the other party wants,” changed his position and said, “Let’s cover the dispute in the courtroom.”
He said, “I politely request that you file a civil and criminal lawsuit against the victims as soon as possible,” he said.
In the background of this proposal, Mr. Park explained, “At the time of the case, (the parties) were not only minors, but the statute of prosecution had already been completed, so that it is impossible to file a criminal complaint.”
He said, “The civil extinctive prescription has already been completed, so it is virtually impossible to file a lawsuit for damages (a claim for monetary compensation).”
He said, “What the victims wished for was Ki Sung-yong’s sincere apology.” He said he would like to take all possible legal action against victims outside.
Attorney Park Ji-hoon reiterated that he would reveal the facts through a court dispute.
He said, “The victims are hoping that Ki Sung-yong will file a civil and criminal suit against them (victims) as soon as possible in order to resolve it as soon as possible.” “You can, and you will have to reveal it in court.”
