
Support for energy valley companies to enter overseas markets
[천지일보=전대웅 기자] On the 22nd, KEPCO signed a business agreement for the’Energy Industry Cooperation Development Support Project’ with the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Agency (KIAT) and the Naju Innovation Industrial Complex Resident Business Council (COP) at the KEPCO Art Center in Seoul on the 22nd.
KEPCO President Kim Jong-gap, KIAT President Yoo Ji-cheol, Lee Nam Council Chairman, and Jeon Yoon-jong, Director of Trade and Cooperation at the Ministry of Industry, attended the ceremony.
This agreement is aimed at supporting energy valley companies to advance into overseas markets and win orders for overseas projects through mutual cooperation between each agency through the Energy Industry Cooperation Development Support Project (ODA).
The Energy Industry Cooperation Development Support Project is a project aimed at supporting development cooperation in response to the demand for cooperation in energy industrialization of developing countries, and in connection with this, to support domestic power and energy companies entering emerging markets and receiving orders for overseas projects.
Energy Valley is a project to create a future growth ecosystem in which KEPCO and local governments cooperate to attract companies and research centers focusing on new energy business. As of January 2021, 501 companies have been attracted.
President Kim Jong-gap said, “We expect that today’s business agreement will greatly contribute to securing the self-sustainability and competitiveness of companies in the Energy Valley.” “KEPCO is actively supporting the establishment of overseas networks and technological capabilities for the expansion of overseas markets and expansion of energy valley companies.
