According to the Banking Federation and the banking sector on the 28th, each bank branch will begin to’strengthen social distancing of bank branches’ in line with’special quarantine measures for the year-end and New Year holidays’.
The start date is from the 28th and the end date is undecided. Each bank branch will be notified that no more than 10 people can sit in the waiting area in front of the counter from this day (28th). From 11 people wait outside the outside door. At this time, the customer line will be marked and guided so that there is a distance of 2m or more between waiting people.
Bank users must keep a distance of at least 1.5m, even within the floor. This is a way to keep the distance between waiting users by emptying some seats.
Partitions are installed at the counters where branch employees work. Partitions are also placed in front of counseling users. If it is difficult to install partitions, keep a physical distance between the consultant and the staff.
Some small branches may even close some counters. For example, a branch that operates 5 counters would close counters 2 to 4 and operate only counters 1 and 5.
An official from the Federation of Banks said, “Considering the recent spread of Corona 19 and the possibility of increasing financial demand during the year-end and New Year period, a precautionary measure is being promoted to strengthen quarantine.” said.
Meanwhile, each bank is discussing measures to quarantine various branches with the National Financial Industry Workers’ Union (Chairman Park Hong-bae) through the Financial Industry User Council (Chairman Kwang-Soo Kim). An official from the Federation of Banks said, “We will continue to discuss in the future.”
