Cheon Ho-jin, who debuted as a public recruitment talent for the 17th MBC in 1983, won the first grand prize in the 2017 2TV weekend drama’My Golden Life’. With this, Cheon Ho-jin enjoyed the joy of holding the grand prize trophy as a 2TV weekend drama again after three years. This is the first time it has been awarded a single award. In 2017, it was a joint award with Kim Young-cheol.

Lee Min-jung for the role of Song Na-hee received the first prize, Lee Sang-yeop for the role of Yoon Gyu-jin and Lee Jung-eun for the role of Kang Cho-yeon received the Excellence Prize in the Daily Drama category. Oh Dae-hwan and Oh Yoon-ah, who appeared as Song Joon-seon and Song Ga-hee, respectively, won the supporting actor Lee Sang-i and Lee Cho-hee, who played Yoon Jae-seok and Song Da-hee, each with a newcomer trophy. Moon Woo-jin and Lee Ga-yeon, who appeared in’Handada’, also received the Youth Acting Award. In addition, Lee Sang-yeop received an additional popularity award, and Yang Hee-seung received the Artist Award.
Lee Sang-i, Lee Cho-hee, Cheon Ho-jin, Lee Jung-eun, Lee Min-jeong, and Lee Sang-yeop, who each worked as a couple, siblings, and lovers in’Handada’, even received the Best Couple Award trophy.
Meanwhile, this year’s Drama Awards did not operate actors and audience seats unlike previous years, considering the situation related to Corona 19. The awards ceremony was held in such a way that actors in the waiting area called their names, put on masks, and presented on stage to receive trophies from robots. Announcer Do Gyeong-wan, actor Jo Bo-ah, Kim Kang-hoon (part 1), and Lee Sang-yeop (part 2) were in charge.
