The position of’Vice Chairman’ was newly established to lead the business in the insurance division and global division, which has increased the proportion of the group. Former KB Insurance CEO Yang Jong-hee was selected as the first vice chairman of KB Financial Group. Former CEO Yang has been leading KB Insurance since 2016 based on the high credibility of KB Financial Group Chairman Yoon Jong-gyu.

◆ Strengthening of leadership in insurance and global business

In the future, Vice Chairman Yang will take on the heavy task of supporting the settlement of Prudential Life Insurance, which was newly incorporated as a subsidiary, and creating synergy among insurance affiliates such as KB Insurance, Prudential Life Insurance, and KB Life Insurance.

In addition, the existing Chief Digital Innovation Officer (CDIO) was changed to Chief Digital Platform Officer (CDPO) to strengthen the platform competitiveness within the group.

Previously, Yoon Jong-gyu, chairman of KB Financial Group, suggested’No. 1 Financial Platform Company’ as the target for next year.

The digital platform manager will be responsible for not only innovating the group’s digital platform, but also improving the customer experience and quality assurance within the digital platform.

In addition, a smart customer management system was newly established to provide faster and more convenient non-face-to-face customer counseling services through the use of artificial intelligence (AI)-based counseling platforms (call bots, chatbots, etc.) compared to existing call centers.

The’AI Innovation Center’ was newly established to support the establishment of AI-related promotion strategies within the group and collaboration among affiliates.

In addition, the’Personal Marketing Team’, a dedicated organization for non-face-to-face marketing by customer group and marketing to senior customers, will be expanded and reorganized.

The’SME Marketing Headquarters’ was established to solidly establish a total marketing promotion system for corporate customers.

A promotion team was also organized for each core business.

‘Dan’ was given to the organization name of the core business divisions that will lead future growth such as My Data Platform, Personal Marketing Team, Live Mobile Platform, Future Contact Center Promotion Team, Institutional Sales Promotion Team, Cloud Platform Team.

The organization of KB Kookmin Bank has been changed from 103 divisions of 19 divisions of 17 groups to 103 divisions of 23 divisions of 15 groups and 113 divisions of 13 regional sales groups.
