Actor Lee Hwa-seon mentioned his younger brother who passed away in’Kang Ho-dong’s Food.
Lee Hwa-seon appeared as a guest in the SBS Plus entertainment program’Do you eat rice-Kang Ho-dong’s rice heart’ (hereinafter referred to as’Kang Ho-dong’s rice heart’) broadcasted on the afternoon of the 28th. I opened my mouth and provoked a curiosity, saying, “I have to live for two people.”
Lee Hwa-seon soon confessed, “Last year, my younger brother went to heaven. I came out because I needed food,” and said, “My younger brother struggled with pancreatic cancer for about 2 years and 2 months, and the result wasn’t good in the end.”
Lee Hwa-sun said, “I was very close with my younger brother. I was a year-old, so I was like a friend.”
He said, “My younger brother said that his left back hurts all the time. I went to the hospital alone to find the cause of the pain and went to the cancer center without my family knowing. One day my younger brother came home and said that it might be cancer. At first I thought it was a joke. The test result turned out to be cancer,” he recalled.
Also, “My younger brother received chemo treatment for nearly a year. The more I did, the harder my body was, but I endured it well. The ammi level was lowered, but (at the hospital) he asked my younger brother to do the surgery. But after the operation, he had intestinal obstruction and entered the intensive care unit. I also had enteritis caused by antibiotics. But since I couldn’t recover in the meantime, the cancer spread all over again. After a year of surgery and chemotherapy, everything was in vain.
Eventually, Lee Hwa-sun’s younger brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in stage 4. He said, “My younger brother wanted to go on a trip. After being judged for the 4th term, I cut a ticket that day, so my mom and three went to Jeju Island. I went, but my younger brother said,’I want to live here.’ If it weren’t for that memory, it would have remained as limited, but the decision I made at that time seemed to be a comfort and a memory for my life.”
Lee Hwa-seon said, “Three months before I left, I was so sorry. The laughter disappeared from that bright younger brother, but I think I was annoyed by my younger brother. It was hopeless, but we couldn’t give up, so we told the hospital to have cancer removal surgery. So I had an operation with that weak body. My younger brother said, “This last operation was a gift for my mother and older sister.” I think that it may have made him more difficult at the end.”
He said, “Eight years ago, my father died, but it was really ridiculous that my younger brother left,” he said. “One day my younger brother said,’If someone in my family needs to get sick, I’m grateful that it’s me.’ We have to live harder,” confessed and wept.
