Kakao Mobility announced on the 1st that it will launch the’Kakao T Train’, which allows reservations and ticketing for train services provided by Korea Railroad (KORAIL).
Kakao Mobility signed a business agreement with the Korean Railroad in January of last year and built a system to provide train services.
The company said, “The Kakao T train service enables the entire process from reservation to payment and issuance for all types of general trains operated by the Korean Railroad, and links to services such as Kakao T intercity bus and Kakao T taxi to transport a wide area. We provide MaaS-type services that encompass all of them.”
On the Kakao T train, just enter departure and arrival, and you will be automatically recommended from the train station information to the best route for the entire journey and can be used immediately. Even if you do not know the information for each train station or route, you can receive information on the optimal train route, make a reservation, and pay by entering the final destination, and you can receive transfer information between trains and intercity buses, as well as the means of transportation between the departure point and destination before and after using the train.
By establishing a system that links Kakao T Taxi and Kakao Navi, it supports the movement between actual users’ departure and arrival destinations and train stations smoothly.
Based on the big data and real-time traffic information built in Kakao Navi, it provides the estimated travel time between the departure point and the train station, and provides public transportation information so as not to be late for the departure time of the train, as well as Kakao Talk notification that enables Kakao T taxi calls. You can call a taxi immediately by clicking the link provided by KakaoTalk without entering a separate location, and the same information is provided so that you can move comfortably to the final destination according to the expected arrival time after boarding the train.
The Kakao T train is available to anyone who is a Kakao T app subscriber, and can use the same fare as the existing train fare without a separate reservation fee.
