Professional football K-League 2 (Part 2) Chungnam Asan canceled the contract with attacker Lee Jae-gon (24), who was controversial over drunk driving.

On the 26th, Asan, Chungnam said, “We have decided to cancel the contract for Lee Jae-geon, who violated the player contract and the squad operation regulations due to drinking and drowned the team’s image.”

The Korea Professional Football Federation also held a reward and punishment committee on that day and imposed a sanction of 4 million won on Lee Jae-geon with a suspension of 15 games in the K-League.

Suspension disciplinary action applies only to the period when a player registered in the K-League is eligible to participate in the game.

According to the federation, Lee Jae-gun was caught by the police after driving under the influence of alcohol on the 19th in an accident that damaged objects and vehicles.

Jaegeon Lee scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 41 games in the K-League 2 in his 3rd year as a pro.

On the same day, the Federation also imposed a penalty of 4 million won in sanctions against Bucheon FC goalkeeper Moon Gwang-seok, 25, with a suspension of 15 games in the K-League official game.

Moon Gwang-seok was also caught by the police while driving after drinking on the 14th.

Moon Kwang-seok has not yet played in the first group official game.

The Federation strengthened the level of disciplinary action against drunk driving through the revision of the reward and punishment regulations in December 2018, and increased disciplinary action if the fact of drunk driving was concealed without reporting it to the club.
