On the 27th, Eun-mi Kang, president of the Justice Party, said on the 27th, “We will thoroughly and firmly respond from the bottom up to establish a gender-equal system by comprehensively examining the party’s gender-related organizational culture and preparing measures to prevent recurrence.”

Representative Won-nae Kang said at the emergency countermeasure meeting held at the National Assembly that day, “From today, we are entering an emergency countermeasure meeting to deal with and renew the sexual harassment case of former CEO Kim Jong-cheol.”

On the previous day (26th), the Justice Party decided to set up an emergency countermeasure meeting consisting of a legislator and a delegation as an emergency mechanism to deal with the sexual harassment case of former representative Kim Jong-cheol and operate it until the next representative is elected. The co-representatives are Eun-mi Kang and Yoon-ki Kim, acting representatives of the party, and all six members of the Justice Party, including Rep. Hye-young Jang, will serve as members.

Representative Won-nae Kang said, “The emergency response meeting will discuss the establishment of a task force (TF) that is emerging, and prioritize the preparation of countermeasures to prevent recurrence.” “We will switch to an occasional system and continue to gather broad opinions.”

He added, “I know that no words can comfort the people’s disappointment and anger,” he said. “I will reflect on why the entire party has not been able to improve gender sensitivity and whether the organizational culture has failed to establish gender equality.”

Representative Kang added, “We promise to take thorough follow-up measures according to the principle of zero tolerance.”
