Regarding this, a senior official from the Ministry of Education said, “It is basically up to the university to decide whether or not to cancel admission. Pusan National University also said, “After the final judgment, we will deliberate in accordance with the school regulations and application guidelines,” and it is unlikely that the procedure for canceling Cho’s admission will proceed immediately.
Ministry of Education “No special audit plan”

Eventually, Ewha Womans University canceled Chung’s admission and disciplined those involved. It was 7 months before the first trial ruling on admission irregularities came out, but it was quickly canceled.
In addition, the Ministry of Education has been pushing ahead with measures to strengthen the fairness of college admissions after the outbreak of former Minister Cho Kook. In May of this year, the Enforcement Decree of the Higher Education Act was revised to stipulate that admissions, where fraudulent activities such as submitting forgery or altered data, were detected at the entrance examination were cancelled.
An official from the Ministry of Education said, “We have no plans yet” when asked if we can do a special audit like the case with Jeong Yu-ra. As for the reason for not reviewing separate measures such as audit, he spared, saying, “We have not yet looked into the matter properly.”
