Jeong In-yang’s adoptive parents did not raise their heads throughout the trial. Ahn Mo, who was in a state of disability, was in court at 10 o’clock, about 30 minutes ahead of the start time of 10:30 a.m. at the trial held at the Seoul Southern District Law on the 13th.
Request for personal protection measures
The Seoul Southern District Law said on that day, “the defendant’s attorney requested personal protection measures yesterday. In response to this, the court decided to take personal protection measures from 10:00 am when the defendant entered the court.” It was a bad situation,” he explained. Ahn, wearing a brown jacket, was waiting for the trial with her head off halfway before the trial began, with no focus. Two lawyers sat together next to Ahn. At around 10:35 am, the judge entered the court and the trial began.
Soon after, the mother-in-law of wool sat next to Ahn in a shroud. Like Ahn, Jang Yang bowed his head throughout the trial. It seemed to be looking only at the desk in front, blindfolded with long hair.
On this day, the prosecution requested that Jang’s indictment be changed. Jang’s charge in the complaint was’violation of the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes (Child Abuse Mortality). The prosecution submitted an application to the court to change the indictment claiming the murder charge as a surrounding prosecution, and the existing child abuse mortality was a preliminary prosecution.
At the trial, the prosecution said, “After the prosecution, the charges of murder have been decided as a surrounding prosecution after review by forensic scientists,” and “Additional data such as the opinion of the autopsy doctor and forensic professor who appraised the autograph will be submitted.”
Adopted parents who didn’t know how to apply for murder
While the prosecutor talked about the change of the complaint as above, the adoptive wife Ahn and Yangmo Jang did not have any action. I was just bowing my head. Jang’s lawyer denied the charges of murder and abuse, saying, “I did not knowingly killed the victim.”
As soon as the trial ended on this day, a castle for them appeared in the auditorium. One audience went out of court by yelling “Devilish XX” at their adoptive parents. Dozens of citizens who were unable to enter the trial outside the court waited for the resignation of the stepfather. In the process, confusion with the court officers also occurred. One citizen raised his voice, “Why do the police protect the safety of both parents and not Jung-in?” Then, intense reactions from the surrounding citizens poured out. Dozens of police officers and court inspectors made their way out of the courtroom, and her stepfather, Ahn, barely left the courtroom.
