Judge Im Seong-geun leaving “I ask for forgiveness from all who suffered”[전문]

Im Seong-geun, chief judge of the Busan High Court, said on the 26th, “I sincerely ask for forgiveness from all those who have suffered pain or discomfort.”

Deputy Judge Lim wrote in the resignation post posted on the court’s internal network that day, saying, “I am very sorry for causing you great concern.” He said, “Even after leaving the court, I will always think and live a life of what I will do to repay the favors of the courts and court families that have been given to me.” There was no separate comment regarding the impeachment trial. 1991. 3. 1. After I was appointed as a judge, leaving the courtroom, which had been my whole life for the past 30 years, is not a reason to leave without saying anything.

First of all, I would like to say that I am very sorry for causing great concern to the court families. I sincerely ask for forgiveness to all those who have suffered or suffered from me.

I sincerely thank my seniors and juniors, fellow judges, and the court family for providing guidance and assistance in various ways so that I can live as a judge for 30 years. I will always keep that grace in my heart.

When we meet, separation is the providence of the world, so I knew I would leave the court someday, but I couldn’t even imagine that I would leave without even saying goodbye to the many court families who have loved and cherished me. It is deserving to visit in person and post a retirement greeting, but please understand that I am giving a greeting by borrowing this paper.

I am now leaving the court, taking off the heavy coat that was overwhelming for my ability. Even if I leave the court, I will always think and live a life of what I will do to repay the grace of the court and the court family that have been given to me.
