Reduced by division by time of ritual due to Corona 19

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Asan Chung Ju-young, the honorary chairman of Hyundai Group, the family of Beom Hyundai gathered at the old home of the honorary chairman of Chung Undong.

According to the Hyundai Motor Group on the 20th, the family of Hyundai families gathered and held a ritual at the old home of Cheongun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on this evening, one day before Honorary Chairman Chung’s 20th anniversary. Honorary Chairman Chung’s wife, Ms. Byeon Joong-seok, is due on August 16, but since last year, we have been together with ceremonies.

In order to comply with the Corona 19 Prevention Guidelines, Hyundai Motor Company reported that this year’s ceremonies were carried out in a simple manner by dividing time zones for each participant and performing rituals sequentially.

The first and foremost was the honorary chairman Chung’s grandson, Eui-sun, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman, with his wife. Afterwards, the son of Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-Joon Chung, Chairman of the Asan Nanum Foundation, Mong-yoon Chung, Chairman of Hyundai Maritime, and Mong-il Chung, CEO of Hyundai Corporate Finance, followed.

Hyeon Jeong-eun, the daughter-in-law of the honorary chairman Chung, and his nephew Jeong Mong-won, chairman of Halla Group, as well as his grandchildren Jeong Il-sun. Hyundai BS&C President Chung Dae-sun did not show up, but his mother, Mrs. Migrant, and his wife, Noh Hyun-jung, were present. Chung Mong-koo, honorary chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, was absent this year following last year.

Since the 9th anniversary of the late Mrs. Byeon Jung-seok in August 2015, the place of rituals has been moved from the house of Cheongundong to the house of honorary chairman Jeong Mong-gu in Hannam-dong, and has been living again in the 12th anniversary of Mrs. Byun’s 12th anniversary in August 2019. Cheongundong’s home was inherited by Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-koo in 2001, and then handed over ownership to Chairman Eui-seon Eui-seon in March 2019.

Every year around Asan’s anniversary, the visits by families and group employees to Sunyeong, Changu-dong, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, are expected to be reduced in consideration of the atmosphere of the spread of Corona 19. Chairman Eui-sun Eui and other groups visit Sun-young around the 21st.

The Beomhyundae family holds a photo exhibition in memory of the honorary chairman Chung Ju-young. ‘Asan Jung Ju-young 20th Anniversary Commemoration Committee’ started on the 22nd under the theme of’Youth Jeong Ju-young, passing through the times’ in the lobby of Hyundai Motor Group’s Gye-dong office building, Seosan reclamation site project, Seoul Olympics, Pony development, 2nd Hangang Bridge and Gyeongbu Expressway. Pictures of construction, etc. are displayed and documentary videos are also shown. In the photo exhibition space, a concept car ’45’ that reproduces Asan’s office and reinterprets Pony’s real car and Pony in a modern way is also on display.
