The US pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson announced that the final trial of the COVID-19 vaccine showed 66% preventive effect, and decided to apply for emergency use approval next week.
Although the preventive effect was lower than that of the Pfizer and modder vaccines already being vaccinated, experts evaluated that there is a big advantage to being given only once.

The US pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson today announced that the company’s corona vaccine showed 66% preventive effect as a result of a final clinical trial conducted on 44,000 people in eight countries including the United States.
It is said that 85% is effective in preventing severe Corona 19.
There are differences by region. In the United States, the preventive effect was 72%, but in South Africa where the mutant virus appeared, it was as low as 57%.
Johnson & Johnson said there was no case of hospitalization or death after observing symptoms 28 days after vaccination.

“It was 100% completely preventable against hospitalizations and deaths. All hospitalizations and deaths came from fake drug users only.”
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine came out lower than the Pfizer and Modena vaccine, which has a 90% preventive effect, but it is strong enough, according to US media.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the FDA have already said that it can be approved if it shows 50% or more preventive effects.
Experts highly praised that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, unlike other vaccines, requires only one shot, which saves not only supply worries but the hassle of having to get it twice.

“Because this vaccine only needs to be given once, it provides another important tool to help control the corona.”
Jones & Johnson said it would apply for emergency use approval with the FDA during next week, and expected it to be approved at the end of February.
