Earlier, Cho Doo-soon went out for the first time after being released from the hospital in December of last year, and went to an administrative agency with his spouse to apply for basic pension and basic living security benefits.

The city of Ansan went on the screening according to a legal procedure, and it was decided at the end of last month that the Cho Doo-soon couple were eligible for the customized welfare system.

Welfare benefits these couples receive include a basic pension of 300,000 won, a living wage of 620,000 won for two, and a housing benefit of 260,000 won.

The Cho Doo-soon couple immediately received a monthly welfare benefit worth 1.2 million won, and it is reported that they received it through retrospective procedures until December of last year, which was not received before application.

In the future, the Cho Doo-soon couple will continue to receive such welfare benefits unless they are excluded from the customized welfare system recipients.

A city official said, “If you are eligible for a customized welfare system, you can receive it if you meet the standards of the relevant laws.”
