Ko Jin-young, number one in the women’s golf world ranking, showed off his unchanging performance in his first appearance in the 2021 season.

On the morning of the 26th (Korean time), Jin-young Ko was 4 under par 68 in the first round of the LPGA Tour Gain Bridge LPGA ($2 million in total prize money) held at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club (par 72) in Orlando, Florida, USA. And started a tie for fourth place. With a 7-under-par of 65, it is three shots behind the Korean-Korean New Zealander Lydia High School, which is the sole leader. Lydia Go, who lived near the venue, flew in a long way, bundling 6 birdies, 1 eagle, and 1 bogie. Lydia Go will challenge the championship in about two years and ten months after the Mediheal Championship in April 2018. Nelli Corda (USA) and Nana Masen (Denmark) were tied for second place (5 under par 67), two shots behind Lydia Go.

Ko Jin-young did not participate in the Diamond Resort Tournament of Championship, which was the opening game of the season last January. After staying in Korea and training to finish the swing correction that has been held since last year, I chose this tournament, which was held for the second time in the season, as the season debut. For Ko Jin-young, it was the first tournament he played after changing his swing, but it was more stable than expected. Go Jin-young marched to the 1st to 5th holes and caught the first birdie in the 6th hole (par 3). Afterwards, he violated the bogie at the 7th hole (par 4), but made up with a birdie immediately at the 8th hole (par 4).

In the second half, Ko Jin-young raised the ranking by adding a birdie in the 14th hole (par 4) and the 15th hole (par 5), and then adding a birdie in the 17th hole (par 3). Ko Jin-young sent 10 out of 14 drive shots to the fairway. Accuracy is 71.4%. The hit rate on the green was 83.3%, and only 3 holes were missed, and he was adapted to a new swing. After the first round, Ko Jin-young said, “The start of the first tournament of the season is very good.” Ko Jin-young said, “The view of the course is very beautiful,” and “I am satisfied with the result today and I look forward to the remaining three days.”

In this tournament, which resumed after a month, a large number of Korean players are competing for the championship.

Jeon In-ji and Choi Woon-jung are tied for 11th with 3 under par 69 strokes. Jeonin-in said, “After participating in the opening game, I returned to Korea for three weeks,” and said, “I focused on regaining the sense of the game.”

Lee Jung-eun 6 finished tied for 16th with 3 birdies, 1 bogie, and 2 under par 70 strokes. However, Kim Se-young and Park Seong-hyun, who had raised their expectations, stumbled. Kim Se-young exchanged two Bogies with Buddy and wrote an Evenpa (with 41st place). Park Sung-hyun was pushed to 77th place (three over par, 75 strokes) with only one birdie.

Heebi, the world’s No. 1 ranking, sharply crossed. Lydia Go leads, while Zeng Yani (Taiwan) is the last among 120 players. Zeng Yani hit a 9-over par 81 with 3 birdies, 2 bogies, 2 double bogies and 2 triple bogies.
