‘Eternal Captain’ Park Ji-sung (40) plays an active part as an administrator in the K-League 1 (first division) of professional football. Commissioner Park advises Jeonbuk on the selection, development, scouting, and training system of Jeonbuk pro and youth players.

Jeonbuk announced on the 19th that it has appointed Park Ji-sung to the club as a’club adviser (hereinafter referred to as a member)’. Jeonbuk said, “Mr. Park will also serve as a’technical director (technical director)’ in some areas in relation to the transfer and recruitment of players in the professional and youth teams.” During his active career, Park did not play in the K-League, but only played on the European and Japanese stages. This made his first relationship with the K League. Commissioner Park plans to serve as a part-time advisor to and from the UK and Korea.

Commissioner Park participated in the World Cup three times in 2002, 2006, and 2010, and played an active part in Manchester United in the English Premier League and Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The team’s plan is to present a new direction in the K-League by incorporating the know-how that Park has learned from the leading European clubs in Jeonbuk football. Commissioner Park said, “I saw and learned a lot of advanced European systems, and I studied a lot after retirement,” and said, “I will do my best to make Jeonbuk more robust and healthy.” On the 22nd, Park will go to the Namhae Training Center in Gyeongnam and have a meeting with the athletes and coaches.
