Actor Jung Dong-nam is regretting that he lost his younger brother after a swimming accident and devoted himself to rescue activities.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, KBS 2TV’TV carries love’ appeared in Jung Dong-nam.
Even at the age of 72, Jung Dong-nam is working on civilian rescue activities. Jeong Dong-nam confessed to his dedication to the rescue.
Jeong Dong-nam, who had lost his younger brother, who was only a middle school student at the age of 20, said, “I told my younger brother,’You learn to swim. I’ll teach you,’ but he didn’t learn it. Then he went to the Han River to play in the water, but a few hours later a friend ran. When I heard that I fell in love and went to the field, I couldn’t see my younger brother already.”
He said, “At the time when I was desperate, unidentified men came in a boat. If I gave money, I would rescue the body. My father collected the money and handed it over. So, in three minutes, I retrieved the body of my younger brother.” I didn’t have money to do so, so I made a coffin with a wooden box.”
Regarding the rescue activity at private expense, it was moved by revealing that “I bought the equipment with the money I earned while broadcasting. I paid all the room and board expenses for the members.”
Regarding the unforgettable accident site, “A Korean Air plane crashed in Guam. (I heard the news) I took my passport and got on the plane. I went to numerous sites, but it was the first time I saw the body as it was. I was hugged and burned. I sat down and tears came out. I was rescued for 22 days,” he said, creating regret.
“When I canceled the broadcast and worked for rescue, I became unemployed. I got a lawsuit and stopped broadcasting. But have you seen all of my activities in the United States? They told the Korean embassy that they wanted to give a commendation. I received camellias,” he added.
