According to NHK on the 4th, as of 7:30 pm on the day, the number of new corona 19 confirmed cases in Japan was counted as 1,170.

The number of daily confirmed cases in Japan has been below 1,000 for three days in a row since the 28th of last month, but from the previous day to this day, the number of confirmed cases has risen to 1,000 again. The cumulative confirmed number increased to 43,7429, and the number of deaths increased by 67 per day to 8,156.

The Japanese government will convene an expert advisory committee on the 5th and make a decision to extend the emergency situation in the four metropolitan areas by two weeks at a meeting of the countermeasure headquarters presided over by Prime Minister Suga Oshihide.

Prime Minister Suga said at the House of Representatives Budget Committee on that day, “I think it needs an extension of about two weeks to protect the lives and lives of the people.”

In addition, mutant viruses with strong infectivity are also appearing across Japan, making Japanese quarantine authorities tense. Corona 19 mutant virus infections have been confirmed in 19 regions, including Tokyo, out of 47 prefectures (large regional governments) in Japan.
