As the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Japan exceeded 3,000 for five consecutive days, the Japanese government began reviewing the emergency re-declaration.

According to a report by local public broadcaster NHK on the 3rd, 3,059 new corona19 confirmed cases were identified in Japan the previous day. Accordingly, the number of new confirmed cases in Japan per day exceeded 3,000 for five consecutive days from the 29th to the 2nd of last month. This is the first time that after the spread of Corona 19 in Japan, the number of new confirmed cases per day exceeded 3,000 for 5 consecutive days. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Japan has increased to 242,768. The death toll increased by 31 to 3,585.

As the spread of the infection became serious, the heads of four metropolitan governments, including Tokyo governor Koike Yuriko, and the governors of Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama prefectures, met with Yasuto Nishimura, the Japanese economic regeneration minister, and asked for a review of the emergency re-order.

Nishimura said he would consider re-declaring the emergency, but immediately took action to shorten the opening hours of the restaurant by advancing the closing time of the restaurant from 10 p.m. to 8 p.m., expand corporate telework, and stricter requirements for holding various events. I asked Governor Koike and others to come out.

The Japanese government is expected to decide whether or not to re-emerge the emergency after hearing opinions from experts.
