The subject of crackdown is aquatic products for sacrifice and gifts such as oysters and sea bream, items that are highly likely to violate the country of origin due to an increase in imports such as live defense fish and live scallop, and items with high frequency of violations in the past five years, such as live eel, dried saury (gua catfish), and live scallop. to be.

Supowon focuses on the violation of the country of origin labeling, such as non-marking of origin, violation of labeling method, and false labeling, targeting seafood manufacturers, distributors, and sellers, restaurants, traditional markets, delivery app franchisees, and mail order companies. For delivery apps, home shopping, and local shopping malls, the country of origin indication map and enforcement will be strengthened.

If the country of origin is falsely marked, it can be punished by imprisonment for up to 7 years or a fine of up to 100 million won. If caught twice within two years, a fine (less than 300 million won) up to five times the amount of the violation may be imposed. If caught again within five years, they will be punished with a 1-10 year imprisonment or a fine of 5 million to 150 million won.

As consumption contracted due to Corona 19, sales of domestic fishery products slowed, so they decided to support. Previously, Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Moon Sung-hyuk participated in the companion sale live commerce last June and sold kelp pickles, dish towel sets, and paper detergent.
