Meet the works again.
CGV announced on the 24th that from March 25th, 5 works of Jang Kuk-young will be collected and screened at the separate pavilion. ‘Remembering the Star (★)’, which runs for two weeks until April 7th, is a special exhibition to commemorate Jang Guk-young, who left us like a lie on April 1, 2003. It has already been 18 years since he left our side, but many audiences are expecting this opportunity to meet him who is still shining in the work.
Accordingly, a total of five films such as’Abi Jeongjeon’,’Happy Together’,’Heroic Bon Saek 1 and 2′, and’Seongwol Fairy Tale’ will be screened at 34 CGV Star Pavilions nationwide.
‘Abijeongjeon’ and’Happy Together’ are directed by Wang Ga-wi, who was called the icon of Hong Kong movies in the 90s. In two works, Jang Guk-young captured the audience by performing his own unique acting, lonely and lonely. In particular, the lone father in’Abi Jeongjeon’ resembles Jang Guk-young a lot, so it is counted as one of the most loved works by fans who miss him.
‘Heroic Bone Saek 1, 2’was released in Korea in 1987 and 1988. It is said to be the beginning of the Hong Kong noir genre and created a syndrome and made Jang Kook-young a great star. The first episode will be screened from March 25 to 31, and the second episode will be screened from April 1.
‘Seongwol Fairy Tale’ is a joint film between Japan and Hong Kong and was released in 1999. It contains the fateful encounter and love story of two men and women with wounds of love. Jang Kook-young played the role of the Hong Kong secret police, resembling the lover of a woman who lost her lover in a car accident. ‘Seongwol Fairy Tale’ will only be shown at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall.
We also prepared exclusive goods. A limited edition star card designed as a movie still will be presented to customers who watched’Abi Jeongjeon’ and’Happy Together’. You can get a separate sheet after viewing’Heroic Body 1, 2′ You can receive a movie on a first-come, first-served basis by viewing a movie at a separate ★ pavilion nationwide and verifying the ticket at the ticket office.
