Robin Colegan, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover Korea, took out the strategy of’Reimagine’ on this day. Among the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, Jaguar will switch to a fully luxury electric vehicle brand by 2030, and Land Rover will achieve “zero carbon emissions” for 60% of vehicles. To this end, it plans to drastically reduce the number of platforms from 30 to 3-4. Jaguar will be transformed into one dedicated electric vehicle platform and Land Rover will be transformed into three platforms. A platform for electric vehicles is an essential element for securing price and product competitiveness through economies of scale. In addition, CEO Kolgun added, “We will enter the hydrogen car market soon, such as introducing a prototype of a hydrogen car.”

CEO Colegun pledged to improve the service that had been lacking so far. He said, “We had to supply the right products and price points at timely loading, but it hasn’t been so,” he said. “We will capture the hearts of Korean consumers again with our 4P strategy this year.” According to the Imported Automobile Association, Jaguar Land Rover sold more than 10,000 units in 2019, raising the market share of imported cars to 4.2%, but last year the number of units sold fell to half (5676 units) and the market share decreased to 2.1%.
