“Thank you so much for getting the vaccine for the first time. I applied for the vaccination in the hope that the elderly in nursing homes could see their children as soon as possible.”

Kim Hye-won (61), who was selected as the first inoculation of a nursing facility in Daegu, said the head of the facility at Dr. Kim, a social worker, was vaccinated against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at the Jung-gu public health center at 9:7 am on the 26th. Mr. Kim said, “If you weren’t nervous, it would be a lie (laughs),” and “Thank you for letting me avoid getting sick.”

Kim arrived at the Jung-gu Public Health Center that day and registered the vaccinator. After checking for fever, I met a doctor to check for specific issues such as allergies. Lee Seung-mok, a doctor at the Jung-gu Health Center, said, “We look at whether you have had any other vaccinations in the past, have you had any reactions such as anaphylaxis to foods and drugs, and are taking anticoagulants.”

Then, Kim went to the inoculation room and got an injection. Immediately I went to the adverse reaction observation room, waited for 15 minutes, and received explanations of cautions such as fever and headache that may appear after vaccination from health center officials.

Mr. Kim, who had no specific details, showed the part where the left arm was injected just before returning home after waiting and said, “I didn’t swell at all.” Mr. Kim added, “I hope that the day will come when the elderly in nursing homes are comfortable with the formation of group immunity.

It is said that there are many patients with dementia in Dr. Kim’s nursing facility. They don’t understand that their children haven’t come to visit because of Corona 19, Kim said. Mr. Kim said, “I had a non-face-to-face visit almost a year after the end of the New Year’s Day, and it was a pity to see my children and the elderly crying with the glass window in between.”

On this day, 10 people, including Mr. Kim and the staff at the Dr. Kim Elderly Care Center, completed the first dose of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine. In the entire Daegu area, 210 people receive vaccination on this day in a total of 10 places, including 6 public health centers and 4 nursing hospitals. After 8 to 12 weeks, the second vaccination is done, and the vaccination is over.

Hwang Sun-gu (61), head of Hansol Nursing Hospital, and vice-chairman Lee Myung-ok (female, 60), who were the first inoculation of Daegu Regional Nursing Hospital, gave the vaccination at around 9:22 am in a hospital in Buk-gu.

The two have been running the Hansol Nursing Hospital since 2013, and no confirmed cases have occurred in the past year. This is why it was selected as the first inoculation in the nursing hospital. Immediately after completing the vaccination, Vice-director Lee said, “I don’t feel anything,” and “it hurts less than the flu shot.” At the same time, Vice President Lee said, “As a person who has to take care of patients, I participated in the vaccination to fulfill my professional vocation.”

On this day, 60 patients, including the Hansol Nursing Hospital medical staff, and 26 patients received the vaccination. Director Hwang said, “We are going to the train station called everyday. Tickets are free. Dan said, “Let’s all join the vaccination together to go to the daily station,” he said.
