The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the leading gambling city in the eastern United States called the Casino Kingdom, has been demolished.

On the 18th (local time), AFP reported that the Trump Plaza Hotel was blown up in just a few seconds by pressing the detonator button connected to 3000 dynamites at 9 am the day before. This building is famous for the casino that appeared in the movie’Ocean’s Eleven’ starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

First opened in 1984, the hotel was the first property in the region to be owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump when he was a real estate operator, and has a reputation as the largest hotel and successful casino in Atlantic City.

After Trump filed for bankruptcy in 2009, the hotel went into bankruptcy court officials, but the name’Trump’ remained in the building for a while.

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn, who was one of the Atlantic City financiers, took over the building, but the hotel has been shut down since 2014. Since then, the hotel has been regarded as the city’s brutal.

In mid-June last year, Small Atlantic City Mayor Marty announced the demolition of the building because it was dangerous to residents.

Icahn has not yet revealed how to use the land after the building was destroyed.
