It was found that the former Busan Mayor Oh Chi-hoon, the nephew of the Busan Mayor, who owned 1488 square meters of land on the site of Gadeok Island in Busan, where the construction of the new airport was scheduled, gave up his own land.
According to Congressman Han-Hong Yoon’s Office of the People’s Power on the 4th, President Oh released about 450 pyeong of land he owned in Gadeok Island last month as a’quick sale’. It is 3.5 million won per pyeong, half of the 5 million to 7 million won per pyeong. Representative Yoon explained, “As a result of the lawmaker’s investigation through local real estate, President Oh initially offered the paper for 4 million won per pyeong, but then lowered the price.”
According to the data submitted by Busan City on the 3rd, Congressman Yoon said that it was found that outsiders owned 6.77 million ㎡, or 79% of the 859 million ㎡ of private land in Gadeok-do, Gangseo-gu, Busan. In addition, the top 30 of the private land owned by the area of ownership were all owned by outsiders, the lawmaker explained.
In particular, President Oh, the nephew of Mayor Oh, who resigned from the office of the mayor of Busan halfway due to sexual misconduct, and his father Daehan Steel, the major shareholder, and Daehan Networks, a subsidiary, are located in Songjeong-dong, Gangseo-gu, which is the path to Gadeok-do, respectively. It is known to have paper. Considering that the land that President Oh offered for sale is a separate land and was traded at 700,000 won per pyeong at the time of purchase in 2005, it is expected to gain at least five times the market margin.
Considering that the controversy surrounding Gadeokdo New Airport has been around since the mid-2000s, politics have pointed out whether the timing of the purchase is appropriate for President Oh.
