Daejeon Jung-gu Office concluded that there are “no violations” of Hwang Unha and Democratic Party lawmaker Hwang Unha, who was suspected of violating the quarantine rule, saying’No more than 5 people are allowed to enter the restaurant.

According to the city of Daejeon on the 2nd, Rep. Hwang had dinner with former Daejeon Mayor Yeom Hong-cheol and local business people at a restaurant room in Jung-gu, Daejeon on the 26th of last month. On the 31st of last month, when a local business official (confirmed with Daejeon No.847) was confirmed, the quarantine authorities saw five people, including the three who were together at the table next to them, as close contacts and ordered them to undergo a corona 19 test.

Among them, the salt field market turned out to be positive. It was investigated that the 847 confirmed person showed symptoms of sore throat from the 25th of last month, the day before meeting Hwang. Rep. Hwang, who turned out to be negative, is scheduled to self-isolate by the 9th according to guidelines from health authorities.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (middle script) banned reservations for 5 or more people at restaurants nationwide from the 24th of last month to the 3rd of the coming month, or admission with more than 5 people. The script recommends canceling private meetings, dinners and parties with more than 5 people during this period, and banned meetings with more than 5 people in restaurants. Violation of this could result in a fine of 3 million won or less for restaurant operators and 100,000 won or less for users.

Rep. Hwang said, “It was originally a table for three people, but one of the three people who accidentally came to the table next to the local economic group and knew it, so they came and said hello for a while. It seems to have occurred,” he said.

The Daejeon Jung-gu Office, which started on-site investigation, also concluded that “Rep. Hwang and his party did not violate the prohibited matters and there is no major problem in the quarantine procedure.” An official at the Jung-gu Office said, “When I went to the site and checked, not only the entrance times of Hwang and the next table were different, but the menus ordered were different, and the meals were paid separately.” There is no problem with the quarantine procedures,” he said. In particular, he added, “The restaurant officials also said that Hwang and the party next to the table were separate guests,” he added. “There is no evidence that 6 people had a private meeting.”
