Israel, which has the highest rate of COVID-19 vaccination in the world, has decided to partially lift the requirement to wear a mask for mass immunity testing in its military units.

Local media such as the Jerusalem Post on the 4th (hereafter local time) reported that the Israeli Ministry of Health and military authorities plan to take measures to prevent the soldiers of some units from wearing masks during field training and activities from the 5th.

The test subjects were units with more than 90% of the total medical history of the soldiers who had been inoculated twice with the Corona 19 vaccine for more than a week or who were cured and recovered after infection. These population immunization experiments are expected to be conducted over the next three months. However, during indoor training and activities, wear a mask according to the original regulations.

The military authorities decided to continue the experiment only if the incidence rate remained below the standard value while reporting the corona 19 infection situation of the experimental unit on a weekly basis. If the number of confirmed cases rapidly increases, the situation should be reported immediately and the experiment should be stopped, the military authorities said.

According to reports, the Israeli military announced on the 11th of last month that the proportion of personnel who completed vaccination twice or recovered after COVID-19 infection was 81% of the total military history. At the time, the military said that meetings and training could be resumed only for units with a vaccination rate of over 90%.

As of that day, about 4816,000 people completed the second dose of the Corona 19 vaccine in Israel. This is close to 52% of the total population (about 9.3 million). In addition, the number of people who completed the first vaccination was 5257,000, which was more than 56%.
