Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chanocha showed a bizarre act of spraying hand sanitizer on reporters asking questions at a press conference on the 9th (local time).

According to Reuters, Prime Minister Prayut did the same when reporters asked questions about candidates to replace three ministers who were imprisoned in prison last week for rebellion seven years ago.

At a live press conference, Prime Minister Prayut walked to the front of reporters with a bottle of hand sanitizer, as reporters continued to ask questions, and sprayed hand sanitizer on them one by one, holding a mask in front of their faces.

Afterwards, while talking with the same reporters, he became increasingly annoyed, then waved his hand and said something that no one could understand, and again sprayed hand sanitizer on them.

A Thai media reported that a video of the prime minister’s bizarre behavior was reported in media outlets around the world, causing international embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Prayut, who took power through a military coup in August 2014, is famous for acting ridiculously against the media. He often yelled at reporters when they asked him embarrassing questions.
