Actor Lee Seo-jin (photo) sold all the shares of Doool, a company specializing in automotive interior materials. This is attributed to the recent surge in Dooall’s share price due to Hyundai Motor’s’Ioniq 5’effect.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s Electronic Disclosure System (DART) on the 10th, Lee Seo-jin sold all 30,000 shares of the company on the 2nd. The unit price per share is 4917 won, which is a total of 147.5 million won. It is believed that he sold the stake after the share price of the related stock, Doool, surged due to anticipation for the IONIQ 5. Founded in 1971, Dooall has been manufacturing seat covers, fabrics, and airbags for automobiles. It supplies interior materials to popular car models such as Genesis GV80, Hyundai Motor Company’s Grandeur and Santa Fe, and Kia Carnival. Ioniq 5 also supplies seat covers and eco-friendly fabrics.

According to Hyundai Motor Company, on the day of the pre-contract start on the 25th of last month, 23,760 contracts were made for Ionic 5. The number of contracts exceeded 35,000 units in a week. Accordingly, Doool’s stock price, which remained in the early 3,000 won range until the end of last year, recorded an upper limit on the 2nd and rose to 5,890 won during the intraday on the 3rd.

Lee Seo-jin is known as a close friend with Doool’s representative in joining-hoe. He was appointed as an outside director of Dooall in March 2018, and has been faithful enough to abstain from the board of directors held until the third quarter of last year. The reappointment of outside directors will also be promoted at the regular shareholders’ meeting scheduled for the 29th.

Meanwhile, Jo In-hoe’s younger brother, Jo Seung-hoe, also announced that he had sold a total of 1.34 million shares of Doool over the 2nd and 3rd. On the 2nd, it sold 500,000 shares at 4,832 won per share, and 840,000 shares at 5,720 won per share on the 3rd of the same month.
