International Red Cross “Suspected cases of cholera in Yemen, more than 1 million”

The proxy war continues between the government forces and the Hooty rebel

The International Committee of the Red Cross said on the 21st (local time) that the number of suspected cholera patients surpassed 1 million while 80% of Yemeni people are suffering from shortages of food, fuel and medicine due to the war.

In Yemen, a poor country at the southernmost tip of the Arabian Peninsula, the war between the Shiite Huti rebels backed by Iran and the forces of the Abdravu Mansour Hardy government, assisted by the allied forces of nine countries led by Saudi Arabia, has continued for three years.

With the collapse of the medical system, Yemen is not responding properly to the outbreak of Kolara. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 2210 people have died since the outbreak of cholera in April. According to foreign media, the number of deaths from the war to date is about 8750.
