On the night of January 1990, a woman’s body is found along the Nakdong River in Eomgung-dong, Busan.

A man who escapes alone after being with a woman is said to be’the culprit is a two-member group’.

Police arrest two suspects in a year and 10 months.

These are Choi In-cheol, who was 30 at the time, and Jang Dong-ik, who was 33 years old.

The two confessed to the crime and are sentenced to life imprisonment.

He served over 21 years and was released as a model prisoner in 2013.

Although I paid the price, Mr. Choi and Mr. Jang felt unfair.

The police made a false confession after being subjected to harsh acts such as water torture.

President Moon Jae-in, who served as the defense for the two, also said that it was the’most one case left’.

Mr. Choi and Mr. Jang are requesting a reconsideration in May 2017.

Although all records related to the case were destroyed, there were investigation records left by Jang’s mother as a memento.

Eventually, in April 2019, the Great Sword Past History Committee announced that the killer was manipulated by torture.

And yesterday (4th), the court convicted Choi and Jang.

The torture confession was considered invalid.

The judge apologized for not being able to filter properly at the time.

Choi and Jang weren’t just happy.
