Myanmar’s military and police have disbanded protesters against the coup in Mandalay, the second city.

The policeman who fired rubber bullets suddenly fired live ammunition, and quickly became stained with blood.

Two people, including a teenage boy shot in the head, were killed and about 30 were injured.

In the largest city of Yangon last night, a civilian vigilante organized to stop night kidnappings was shot and killed by police.

On the 9th, four people were already killed by bullets by the military police, including Cain, a 20-year-old woman who was shot at the scene of a protest in the capital city of Naepido.

Despite the worst bloodshed, protests against the coup continued on the 16th day.

Foreign media reported that today more people gather than usual at the scenes of protests in major cities.

Following Cain’s funeral today, a massive strike is expected tomorrow. As 10 militants from ethnic minorities have declared their support for the civil disobedience movement, fears of bloodshed conflict are growing.

The US and European countries have made statements of condemnation over the bloodshed, and the European Union has decided to hold a meeting of foreign ministers on Monday local time to discuss sanctions.
